Ingredients
  

  • 2 inches fresh turmeric root (or 1 tablespoon turmeric powder as substitute)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root
  • 1 large lemo
  • 1 cup filtered water (or coconut water)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Method
 

  1. Wash and peel the fresh turmeric and ginger roots thoroughly. Cut them into small chunks.
  2. Add the chopped turmeric, ginger, and filtered water to your high-speed blender. Blend on low speed, then increase to maximum speed for 60 seconds.
  3. Pour in the fresh lemon juice, honey, black pepper, and sea salt. Blend for another 90 seconds until smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean glass.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed. Stir in coconut oil if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

Consume within 24 hours for maximum benefits. Store in airtight glass containers for up to 48 hours. Avoid skipping black pepper to enhance curcumin absorption.
