  • 2 large fresh lemons (juiced)
  • 1 large fresh orange (juiced)
  • 1/2 medium pink grapefruit (juiced)
  • 1 fresh lime (juiced)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • Pinch of high-quality sea salt

Method
 

  1. Thoroughly wash all citrus fruits under cool running water, scrubbing gently to remove any surface residues.
  2. Cut each fruit in half and juice using a manual citrus reamer or electric juicer. Strain the combined citrus juice through a fine-mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds.
  3. Grate fresh ginger using a microplane grater to achieve fine, aromatic pieces.
  4. In a large glass pitcher, combine the strained citrus juice with filtered water. Add grated ginger, cayenne pepper, and sea salt. Stir vigorously for 30 seconds.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness with honey if desired. Serve immediately over ice or chill for 30 minutes before consumption.
