Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir until combined. Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the swirl mixture.
- Pour half the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Dollop half the cinnamon mixture over the batter. Add remaining batter, then top with remaining cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to create gentle swirl patterns.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Notes
Using underripe bananas can ruin texture. Avoid overmixing the batter to prevent dense bread. Ensure accurate oven temperature for even baking. Always test doneness with a toothpick.
