Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • ½ cup fresh blackberries
  • ½ cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 medium apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)

Method
 

  1. Thoroughly wash all berries under cold running water. Remove any stems, leaves, or damaged fruit. Pat dry with clean paper towels.
  2. Remove the apple core and seeds, then chop into small chunks.
  3. Using a fine grater or microplane, grate one teaspoon of fresh ginger.
  4. Add berries, chopped apple, grated ginger, and lemon juice to high-speed blender. Pour in half the water initially.
  5. Blend on high speed for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth.
  6. For silky smooth texture, strain through fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  7. Add remaining water gradually until desired consistency is reached. Taste and add honey if needed.

Notes

Consume within 2 hours for peak antioxidant activity. Store in airtight glass containers for up to 24 hours. Freeze in ice cube trays for up to 3 months.
